Decorative concrete curbs are at the forefront of the landscaping industry. These beautifully stylized landscape features can be made to complement almost any decor, exciting customers (and their neighbors) with the potential for striking landscape accents. The decorative curbing industry is already estimated at tens of millions of dollars per year and is rapidly expanding—a trend which is expected to continue into the future.
The decorative concrete curbing industry offers great possibilities to new or prospective business owners. Curbing can be very profitable, start-up costs are relatively low, and the skills are easy to learn. Formal tests aren't required to do decorative curbing, and because the business falls under landscaping and misc. artisan concrete, licensing is simple.

How to get started
Starting a concrete curbing business can feel intimidating, but we at The Concrete Edge work to arm new business owners with the tools and knowledge you need to succeed. In addition to the business marketing materials we include with all new Lil’ Bubba purchases, we offer a business training session to complement the Bubba operation training.
In general, starting a concrete curbing business requires a license from the county and possibly the city in which you intend to operate. The occupational licensing office of your local county government building can provide you with the specific requirements in your area. You may also need to upgrade your vehicle insurance to cover any liability in transporting a Lil’ Bubba, and you'll want a separate policy to cover any liability for working on customer's property. It's also a good idea to contact an accountant to make sure you benefit from all the tax deductions associated with your new equipment and business.
